The City now owns fee simp2e title to tracts <br />C, 1/, and E which make for a total 50.98 acres.. <br />The next and final step of this process is to receive the final . <br />grant monies to pay of£ the 90 day no te we received from Kraus/ <br />Anderson. . <br />My heartiest congratulations *o each of you for your patience and <br />perserverance over the past three years. <br />Our next stop is tu begin selecting a planning firm for the develop- <br />ment and design of phase one construction_ We have received f6,5:00. <br />i our initial grant for engineering costs. Staff would recommend <br />that we begin interviewing potential planning firms on an informal <br />basis at a special Park Commission meeting on January 6,1981. <br />Prior to the 8th, staff would develop a prel iminary R.F.P. (request <br />for proposal) as we did before so the Commission would have so ne <br />written material from which to react. <br />There are five firms that could complete the job in a thorougk and: <br />professional manncr: <br />1. Inter-lle.sign <br />2. Saunders-Ttialden <br />3. Earth Plus Inc. <br />4. Derek Young Inc. <br />5. Brauer and Associates <br />Sfaff would recommend that these five firms Be requesLed-'to subtai.t: <br />Nroposals by December 19, 1980 and then the Commission could paie ' <br />it Juwn to thrce finzs tirms for interview and possible selection <br />on January 8,. 1981. .
