The men and women at RCM (more <br />than 160) combine a variety of skills <br />and disciplines to provide clients with <br />a total package of design services <br />based on experience and expertise. <br />Architecture, engineerina. planning. <br />landscape architecture and land <br />surveying demand the application of <br />numerous technical specialties plus <br />the backing of a strong organization <br />that has its clients' concerns foremost <br />in mind. Over the years, the firm has <br />been gathering a professional and <br />support staff which can fulfill the <br />needs of a diverse number of clients <br />expeditiously and economically. The <br />potential user of RCM services can <br />depend on thorough investigation, <br />research and imagination necessary <br />to most effectively address project <br />requirements. <br />Experience <br />RCM has served hundreds of public <br />and private clients in becoming one <br />of the larger design firms in the Upper <br />Midwest. During the past 10 years, <br />RCM total project construction costs <br />have exceeded $300,000, 000. In <br />addition, countless surveys, plans <br />and studies have been completed. <br />Our philosophy has been to accept <br />projects varying dramatically in dollar <br />size and complexity. Scope of a given <br />project does not restrict our interest <br />in providing every client top level <br />attention. The high number of repeat <br />clients are witness to the success the <br />firm has achieved. Many of our <br />governmental clients have engaged <br />the firm's design services for <br />upwards of 20 years. <br />Founded as specialists in civil <br />engineering and land surveying, RCM <br />has grown with the demand for its <br />services by increasing in-house <br />expertise to include architecture and <br />virtually all engineering disciplines, <br />planning and landscape architecture. <br />Members of the staff are registered in <br />many Midwestern states and have <br />made significant contributions to <br />their fields in technical design <br />innovations and project <br />management. Their accomplish- <br />ments have earned design awards, <br />and many are active within local, <br />regional or national technical and <br />professional organizations. <br />Project MonagerlTeam <br />Approach <br />Each project for which RCM is <br />engaged is headed by a project <br />manager. The person designated is <br />responsible for coordinating the <br />project team in providing our clients <br />with a project that meets their needs, <br />budget and time schedules. The eight <br />individual offices of RCM are <br />strategically located and work some- <br />what independently within their own <br />areas of expertise, drawing on skills <br />from other offices as required. This <br />allows a personalized service to the <br />client that directly encompasses the <br />total firm resources as needed. <br />Communications is on -going <br />throughout the project schedule <br />between all eight offices and the <br />individual specialists assigned. <br />Computer -based cost and time <br />control systems, engineering <br />calculations, specifications, prepara- <br />tion of reports and other documents <br />are provided to make better <br />use of available time and money. <br />FinencinglOrantamanship <br />Extensive involvement in <br />governmental projects provides a <br />high level of competency within the <br />firm to furnish special assistance and <br />guidance in obtaining available public <br />works financing. RCM staff members <br />know and understand the many <br />diverse grant systems and how these <br />important programs really operate. <br />Working with bonding consultants, <br />developers of land and structures, <br />and governmental agencies at all <br />levels is an every day occurrence for <br />our professionals. <br />i'1 <br />Pub is Participation <br />RCM helps the client define answers, <br />present data, and assists in rational <br />and logical processes. Public <br />involvement is highly important today <br />and is routinely considered before <br />' <br />finalization of contracts or start of <br />construction. When appropriate, <br />interested organizations and <br />individuals within a project's impact <br />area are involved in public meetings <br />and field tours to allow better under- <br />standing of a project.
