MEMO TO: Clerk -Administrator and City Council
FROM: Director of Puhlic Works/Community Developmen X"
DATE: April 30, 1986
SUBJECT: INSTALLATION OF "NO PARKING 6 AM to 6 PM" SIGNS
ON SPRINGVIEW I,ANE
Sprinqview Lane is located just north of County Road H and jusL
west of Knollwood Drive (Attachment tll, Sprinqview Lane is a
deadend street approximately 500 feet long and does not have a
cul-de-sac at the und. The street is also very narrow.
Several times this winter, the snowplows could not plow the
street because there were cars parked on both Rides of the street
during the day.
We had a similar problem in the area of Woodlawn Drive, which is
located just north of City Hall.We solved the
problem
signs on
Woodlawn Drive by installing Parking eA
one side of the street. once these signs were installed on one
side of the street, we did not have any snowplowing problems in
the area.
RECOMMENDATION: I recommend installing signs that say "No
Parkinq 6 AM to 6 PM" on the north and east side of Sprinqview
Lane.
SWT/bac
