Mounds View City Council fA ' a May 12, 1986 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />---------------------------- ---- ` --7-4 _-,--------------- <br />�gayor Linke reported the character generator for the cable Mayor Linke <br />/stem is operational and located in the Park and Rec <br />Department. <br />Mayor Linke reported tie had attended the Planning <br />Commission meeting the previous week and they informed <br />him they should have the Wuornrs report to the Council <br />by mid -May. <br />Mayor Linke reported he had attended the i.cc cream <br />social at Pinewocd School. <br />Mayor Linke reported the Met Council had met last week <br />n the development guide for the airport. He reviewed <br />some of their findings and reported they have approved <br />it as presented by the Task Force. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported the character 18. Report or <br />generator will be located in the Council chambers soon, Clerk/Admini <br />which should catch the eye of people entering City Hall. for <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley presented the Council with <br />copies of the memo from the Transportation Division of <br />the Met Council dated May 6, 1986 regarding the Anoka <br />-ounty-Blaine Airport Development Draft EIS/EA. <br />.finance Director Brager asked for authorization from <br />the Council to enter into a contract with Superior <br />Data Corporatlun for the installation of computer <br />cable in City Hall, the Police Department and Maintenance <br />Garage. file reviewed his memo of May 12 to the Council <br />and explained the necessity of having this cable <br />installed. He also stated the computer is duc to ship <br />early, and will arrive in .June rather than July, so <br />they must be ready for it. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley explained all offices at <br />City Hall will be wired at the same time, for future <br />use, which will result in a better discount at this <br />time. <br />Councilmember Quick asked if a separate heating and <br />cooling system would be installed for the computer <br />room. Finance Dire=tor Brager replied that the <br />technical people do not feel it is necessary and <br />they can use what the City presently has. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to approve a contract <br />w th Superior Data Corporation in the amount of <br />$5,554.20 for installation of computer cable in City <br />ill, the Police uepartment and Maiuteudnce Garage. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />
