Presentation of <br />the Tree City USA flag to the Mayor and Council, Tree city USA <br />stating that Mounds View :as again received national Award <br />recognition with this award, and they were one of <br />35 cities in Minnesota to receive it. <br />There were no residents requests or comments from <br />the floor. <br />Ma -or Linke closed the regular meeting and opened <br />the public hearing at 7:C5 PM. <br />Rita Docken, Energy Coordinator, explained the City <br />is considering changing their open system of garbage <br />hauling to contractual hauling. She reviewed the <br />advantages of organized collection, and explained <br />the solid waste abatement levels the City will be <br />required to reach by 1990, versus where the; are <br />at today. <br />6.
