Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting May 12, 1986 <br />------------------ Page Four <br />------------------------ <br />Director Thatcher reviewed a proposed press release <br />regarding the problems of residents discharging sumo 15. Ile explained they are asking for voluntary Directory <br />compliance, and the dumping into the sanitary sewer <br />increases the City's charge from the MWCC, which is <br />then passed along to the residents. <br />There was discussion among the Council of the best way <br />to get the word out to the citizens, and the costs <br />involved in doing a mailing and printing labels. They <br />alsc discussed amending the building code chapter to <br />require where the drain line be installed, which would <br />alleviate this problem. <br />It was the concensus of the Council to publish the <br />press :elease in the New Brighton Bulletin and in the <br />next City newsletter. <br />Attorney Meyers reminded the Council of the hearing <br />16. <br />at 7:30 PM this evening at Spring Lake Park High <br />Report of <br />School concerning the EIS. He explained he had <br />Attorney <br />met with Mr. Merritt and he reviewed some of the <br />statements from MAC and the MPCA, and what the <br />issues are that are to be discussed. <br />r <br />Cour,cilmembe: Blanchard had no report. <br />17. Councilmember <br />She Also stated they should Hankner <br />y get working on the <br />City Council/Staff picnic and have an organizational <br />meeting. Tt was agreed that they would meet at City <br />Hall at 3 PM on May 20, and Clerk/Administrator <br />Pauley would advise the City Staff that would be <br />involved. ` <br />
