MEMO TO: Clerk -Administrator and City Council / W <br />� <br />FROM: Director of Public Works/Community Develnpment',t <br />DATE: ,lure 4, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: WATER TREATMENT PLANT NO. 1 ROOF <br />Water Treatment Plant No. I roof is leaking in several areas. <br />The roof has been patched several times. I have determined that <br />a new roof is needed. <br />The existing roof consists of an asphalt vapor barrier, 2 inches <br />of fiber board, and four -ply built up roof system. <br />The proposed repair consists of removing any wet fiber board and <br />replacing with a similar material, 'installing 2-1/2" of mopable <br />polyurethane insulation over the entire roof area and installing <br />a four -ply built tip roof with 015 lb. fiberglass felt over the <br />entire area. More specific details are presented in the attached <br />proposals. <br />and <br />i AZtc <br />All Co{gore Pnnfi <br />Roofing i Sheet Metal Co. because they provided the lowest prices <br />for last year's reroofing project. The quotes are as follows: <br />1. All Seasons Roofing Co., Inc. $ 8,220.00 <br />2. Aztec Roofing 6 Sheet Metal Co. $ 9,666.00 <br />All Seasons Roofing Co., Inc. did a good job for us last year. <br />Thc. price of thin year's project is comparable to last year's <br />project on a square foot basis. <br />The Water System Capital Improvement and Maintenance Fund has <br />sufficient money budgeted for this project. <br />RECOMMENDATION: I recommend awarding this project to All Seasons <br />Roofing Co., Inc. in the amount of $8,225.00. The funding shall <br />come from Account No. 700-122-4123. <br />SWT!hac <br />
