RESOLUTION NO. 2032 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COIIN'rY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION AND APPRECIATION TO THE <br />LITTLE CANADA FIRF DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, on the morning of July 8, 1986 in the City <br />of Mounds View, a Williams Pipeline Company pipeline <br />catastrophically ruptured spewing unleaded gasoline into the <br />streets of the City which then exploded engulfing a three <br />block area in flames; and <br />WHEREAS, in response to a mutual aid call from the <br />Blaine, Spring Lake Park, Mounds View Fire Department the <br />Little Canada Fire Department responded with all available <br />manpower and equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, during the ensuing hours the heroic efforts <br />of the Department resulted in limited property loss and <br />personal injury by aiding it the rnntrolling of the intense <br />flames aid resident evacuation; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View wishes to recognize <br />the outstanding service provided by the Department and the <br />r sacrifice of each of its individual members. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br />of the City of Mounds View on behalf of the residents of the <br />City of Mounds View commends the members of the Little <br />Canada Fire Department for their outstanding efforts and <br />offers our heartfelt appreciation. <br />Adopted this 28th day of July, 1986. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mayor Links <br />Councilmember Blanchard Councilmember Haake <br />Councilmember Hankner Councilmember Quick <br />C er-AdminiRtrator Pau ey <br />
