RESOLUTION NO. 2037 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTIONOe NEW BRIGHTONTPOLICEION DION TO THE <br />DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, on the morning of July 8, 1986 in the City <br />of Mounds View, a Williams Pipeline Company pipeline <br />catastrophically ruptured spewing unleaded gasoline into the <br />streets of the City which then exploded engulfing a three <br />block area in flames; and <br />WHEREAS, in respo,ise to this extreme emergency the <br />New Brighton Police Department responded to this emergency <br />and provided manpower needed to evacuate residents, secure <br />the area, direct traffic from the site of the incident, and <br />provide security after the fire had been extinguished; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View wishes to recognize <br />the outstanding service provided by the Department and the <br />sacrifice of each of its individual members. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, 8E IT RFSOLVED that the City Council <br />of the City of Mounds View on behalf of the residents of the <br />City of Mounds View commends the New Brighton Police <br />Department for their outstanding efforts and offers our <br />heartfelt. appreciation. <br />Adopted this 28th day of July, 1986. <br />ATTEST: <br />Counciime,,,ber Blanchard <br />Councilmember Hankner <br />Mayor Lin <br />Councilmember Haake <br />Councilmember ouick <br />Clerk-Adm n stretor Pauley <br />
