DONATION CENTER GRAND <br />OPENING <br />The Goodwill Industries/Easter Seal <br />Attended Donati:n Center Sys..em <br />celebrated its first Grand Opening at <br />the Chaska site. After hundreds of <br />hours of preparation, perspiration and <br />palipitation, the center opened during <br />rainy, overcast Saturday. <br />Chaska Mayor Robert Roepke and League of <br />:'omen Voters Representative Marjorie <br />:ams cut the ribbon to officially <br />establish the Chaska Recycling in Chaska <br />and have handed their operation over to <br />Goodwill Industries/Faster Seal. Was <br />announced, "The League would like to <br />thank Florence Olson for her hours of <br />tireless dedieLbion to the center." She <br />also added, "Florence has heccme known <br />as 'Garbage Quren'due her total <br />recycling rffort in the Chaska area." <br />Olson could not attend the center <br />opening but she was recognized also by <br />Mayor Roepke in his words, "Florence and <br />the League exemplify the citizens of our <br />area, we care." Olson has mn nagcd the <br />center for several years. <br />tdavor Rohcrt- Roepke and <br />of Women Voters' Represent <br />Adams cut the ribbon in C <br />Del Edwards, Goodwill Industries/Easter, <br />Seal Development Vice President, spoke <br />to the crowd at the ribbon cutting abet <br />the whole story of the center. "State, <br />county and city have Joined together to <br />make this possible and the i.etropolitan <br />council has set up the reans to create a <br />center like this to serve Chaska," she <br />said. <br />The center is located at 700 West First <br />St. in Chaska. operating hours are: <br />Fridays, 12 noon to 5 p.m.; Saturdays, 9 <br />a.m. to 5 P.D. The center also has tra- <br />ditional donation boxes for after hours <br />donations. During operating hours, an <br />attendant Will be available to provide <br />receipts for donated Goodwill ite_.. <br />Goodwill Industries/Easter Seal has a <br />donation rule -of -thumb, "Give to us :ghat <br />you would pass on to a friend". The <br />public is encouraged to bring in a1u_t- <br />num cans, clean brown, clear and Ereen <br />glans and nrnw per. Grade recycling, of <br />Chaska is handling the recyclables :cr <br />Goodwill Industries/Easter Seal. <br />2 <br />
