Mr. Tim Nelson -3- September 15, 1986 <br />TM` Principal roadways providing access to the site and their <br />general characteristics Includet <br />T.H. 10 - a designated principal arterial carrying <br />approximately 36,000 vehicles dally In the vicinity of <br />the site. The current Intersections of T.H. 10 with <br />County Road H and County Rc3d H-2 are operating at or <br />near capacity during the PM Peak [lour. The Minnesota <br />State Dept. of Transportation (MnDOT) plans to <br />construct a realigned T.H. 10 north of Its existing <br />alignment. One section Is currently In place from <br />1-35W to County Road J. The connection from County <br />Road J to T.H. 65 Is proposed for construction during <br />1987-88. the extension westward from T.H. 65 Is not <br />yet Proarammed. Based upon traffic projections <br />prepared for the Environments? Impact Statement For <br />T.H. 10, the new alignment Is expected to reduce <br />volumes on existing T.11. 10 approximately 67%. <br />Interstate 35W - a principal arterial carrying approxl- <br />Imately 45,000 vehicles In the vicinity of the site. <br />Access to the site from 1-35W Is provided as follows: <br />to/from the south at T.H. 10, to/from the north and to <br />the south at County Road H, and all movements at County' <br />Road 1. <br />County Road 11, a collector roadway, south of the site <br />which Intersects with T.H. 10, Clifton St./Program <br />Ave., and 1-3514. <br />County Road H-2, a designated collector roadway, which <br />Is actually a City street and a designated Minnesota <br />State Aid (MSA) roadway. County Road H-2 Is 44 feet <br />wide and Is proposed to provide access to the site at <br />two Individual driveways on the western portion of the <br />property and at a full movement intersection at Quinsy <br />Street. <br />Quincy Street Is a local MSA roadway, 44 Feet In width, <br />connecting County Road H-2 with County Road I north of <br />the property. <br />County Road I Is a designated minor arterial programmed <br />to be upgraded from 2 to 4 lanes between T.H. 10 and <br />1-35W In 1987. County Road I Intersects Quincy St. at <br />a signalized Intersection and provides full movement <br />access to 1-35W. <br />G <br />
