MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />G 3,. <br />FROM: CLERK -ADMINISTRATOR <br />DATE: OCTOBER 16, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: RENEWAL OF CONTRACT WITH METROPOLITAN COUNCIL _ <br />FOR H.R.A. INSPECTIONS <br />As you may know, the City of Mounds View has been conducting <br />inspections of rental apartments in the City of Mounds View <br />eligible for Section 8 Subsidization by the Metropolitan <br />Council. These inspections are compensated for by the <br />Metropolitan Council as part of a contract between the City <br />and the Council, dated February 7, 1978. <br />S':aff has reviewed this document in detail, particularly ar <br />it relates to increased costa for inspections and the amount <br />of time spent by staff on those inspections, and determined <br />that the compensation received by the City of Mounds View <br />for the cost of these inspections is adequate. Therefore, <br />Staff would recommend Council approval of the contract <br />renewiag the initial agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff would recommend Council authorize <br />Clerk -Administrator Pauley to enter into the First Amendment <br />to Contract Number 7639, between the City of Mounds View and <br />the Metropolitan Council for the performance of H.R.A. <br />inspections. <br />DFP/dmm <br />
