Cattoor, Financial Communications Consul- <br />tant <br />DATE: October 1, 1986 <br />RE: Group W Transfer of Ownership <br />The purpose of this Memorandum is to update the North Sub- <br />urban Cable Commission ("Commission") on the status of the <br />request from Group W Cable, Inc. to the member cities of the <br />Commission to approve the sale and transfer of all of the <br />issued and outstanding shares of the capital stock of Group <br />W Cable of. the North Suburbs, Inc. to North Central Cable <br />Communications Corporation ("North Central"). This merlo- <br />randum specifically addresses the concerns expressed by Mr. <br />Cattoor's financial analysis as stated in his memorandum <br />issued September 11, 1986 and the reasons for continuing the <br />public hearing. <br />As noted in Mr. Cattoor's memorandum dated September 11, <br />1986, the financial analysis had surfaced the following <br />concerns: <br />I. BACKGROUND <br />First, North Central has projected that the cumulative cash <br />on hand necessary to finance operation of the six Group W <br />cable systems in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area goes into a <br />negative $2.9 million in the year 1993.
