Murray, states
th:.t the Mayor must sign the attached notice prior to receiving
Rice Creek Watershed District funds fcr the repair of this
ditch. The total estimated cost of the repair project is
estimated at 60,000. The notice states that the cost of said
repair is estimated to be in the sum of $40,000. Sherwood Road and Jackson Drive. City Project
No. 86-6 will repair the ditches south of Hillview Road.
Therefore, the estimated cost of City Project No. B6-6 is
$60,000.
In order to complete the surveying work, prepare plans ar.d
specifications, secure approval from RCWD and bid the project so
that construction can occur this fall, staff will need to retain
an outside consulting firm per the report prepared by the City of
Mounds View dated August 4, 1986. Attached please find proposals
from two consulting firms (Donohue & Associates and
Short-El.loitt-Hendrickson, Inc.).
RECOMMENDATION: I recommend authorizing the Mayor to sign the
enc used notice from Frank Murray, Attorney for Rice Creek
Watershed District, and direct staff to proceed with the project
per report dated August 4, 1986, including retaining Donohue &
Associates for a not to exceed price of $11,000.
