!� MEMO TO: Clerk -Administrator and City Council <br />FROM: Director. of Public Works/Community Development <br />DATE: October 14, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: BITUMINOUS PATH FOR THE GALE/YOST WALKWAY <br />On July 14, 1986, the City Council directed staff to install the <br />subject walkway for a not to exceed price of $10,300.00. <br />A copy of the staff report dated June 11, 1986 and City Council <br />minutes dated July 14, 1986 are attached for your perusal. Staff <br />received two quotes for the subject project. The lowest <br />responsive bidder was Johnco in the amount of $8,949.00. <br />Please note that the minutes of July 14, 1986 do not indicate who <br />the project should be awarded to or an amount not to exceed. In <br />order to keep the auditors happy, I recommend awarding the <br />subject project to Johnco in an amount not to exceed $8,949.00 <br />with the money coming from the contigency account. <br />SWT/bac <br />I <br />
