Mounds View City Council October 27 1986 <br />Regular Meeting r`i page Eights <br />------------------------t --- -- U — <br />--------------------- <br />�L <br />It was the concensus of the Council to have the stop <br />signs placed as was shown. <br />Attorney Meyers reported the Ramsey County Court <br />System has been unified, and all the judges are now <br />district court judges, and it is working very well <br />out of the New Brighton facility. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he and Clerk/Administrator <br />Pauley had attended the NTSB hearings, and reviewed <br />what has happened to date with that. <br />Councilmember Blanchard read a prepared statement, <br />saving some City Staff had spoken behind her back to <br />certain individuals, stating how she was going to <br />vote and her standing on certain issues, and that <br />she was extremely angry that this had been done, <br />and the individuals involved knew who they were and <br />she expected an apology and retraction. <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported she had attended the <br />pipeline safety commission meeting. <br />Councilmember Haake had no report. <br />Mayor Linke reported he will be passing the report <br />on courtroom consolidation on to the Council, once <br />he receives it. <br />Mayor Linke reported he had sent a letter to the <br />New Brighton Bulletin, regarding the placement of <br />articles on the City of Mounds View in that paper, <br />stating he felt Mounds View was not being given it's <br />share of front page space and coverage. fie also <br />pointed out that Mounds View is not listed on their <br />letterhead, as other City's are. He reported he had <br />received a lengthy response back from Gene Skiba, <br />the editor, and he would be making copies for the <br />Council. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley asked the Council to <br />set a meeting of the Canvasing Board for 5 PM on <br />November 5, 1986. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to set a meeting of <br />the Canvasing Board for 5 PM on Wednesday, November <br />5, 1986. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />15.
