RESOLUTION NO. 2121 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COU14TY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION AND APPRECIATION TO <br />MATT AND GREG ROWLEY <br />WHEREAS, on the morning of July 8, 1986 the City of <br />Mounds View experienced a catastrophe caused by the rupture <br />of an 8 inch hazardous liquid pipeline running through the <br />City and subsequent explosion and fires resulting in the <br />deaths of two Mounds View residents and severe injuries to a <br />third; and <br />WHEREAS, in response to this incident various indiv`.- <br />duals, organizations, and communities have come to the <br />support and encouragement of the City of Mounds View and the <br />Spano and Balk families; and <br />WHEREAS, Matt and Gregg Rowley offered their time to <br />expeditiously and efficiently deliver to the homes in the <br />affected area the City's Neighborhood Update; and <br />WHEREAS, such a generous gesture deserves public <br />recognition and acknowledgement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br />of the City of Mounds View on behalf of the residents of the <br />e City commends Matt and Greg Rowley for their outstanding <br />® J community service and offers our heartfelt appreciation for <br />e their unselfish generosity. <br />Adopted this loth day of November, 1906. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mayor Linke <br />Councilmember Blanchard Councilmember Haake <br />Councilmember Hankner.
