Director <br />Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br />DATEt December 10, 1986 <br />RE: Park and Recreation Commission Appointment Action <br />It has been the request of the Parke and Recreation Commission that the Mayor <br />and City Cuu:,cil review the attached attendance sheet and act upon the <br />dismissal of delinquent members. <br />This actually Bounds harsh, but 'n reality, it is a chance for those who wish <br />to be relieved of the responsibilities of Commission requirements to do so <br />with some assistance. <br />At this time, two vacancies or resignations have been given? Diane Wuori and <br />Cindy Linnell. Ed Letendre has telephoned and verbally expressed his desire <br />to resign, although a written resignation has not been received. Ed <br />Letendre's tenure ends Der mbor, 1986. <br />Wayne Yeflen's intentions are not known, although it Booms that he has another <br />obligation at the same dates and times as the Parks and Recreation Commission <br />meetings. Wayne Yeflen's tenure also ends December, 1986. <br />The Park and Recreation Commission has a sincere interest in having a complete <br />Commission that can devote the time required to serve on such a Commission. <br />For this reason, the Park and Recreation Commission requests the necessary <br />action to encourage resignations of those who may be obligated in other <br />volunteer organizations and therefore, are not able to adequately meet the <br />needs of the Park and Recreation Commission. <br />RECOMMENDATION: To request the resignation of Wayne Weflen to enable other <br />appointments to the Park and Recreation Commission beginning in January, 1987. <br />Wei <br />
