Mounds View City Council July 25, 1988 <br />Regular Meeting $tig �, i"I ge Twelve <br />------------------------------- o ��; 11 _—----------- <br />Councilmember Hankner added the City takes the wetland 1 1 <br />ordinance very seriously, and the ordinances are always <br />being looked at for updating. She added that when the <br />wetland ordinance was written, they sought bath exper- <br />tise and community input. <br />City Planner He: -man explained this ordinance would 16. Consideration <br />amend the wetland boundaries as discussed in the public of Ordinance <br />hearing earlier tonight, and would redeliniate the lines No. 447 <br />on the official map of the City. <br />Mr. Thorton expressed confusion, feeling this ordinance <br />had already been discussed and passed. <br />City Planner Herman explained they are two separate and <br />very different ordinances, No. 444 and 447, concerning <br />separate areas. <br />Councilmember Hai,kner stated she would like to table <br />action on this, as she was not aware of Kay Weseman's <br />statement until just before the meeting, and she feels <br />it would be important to have the Environmental Task. <br />Force consider the issue. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Blanchard to table this item. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley stated that, W'.th Council <br />direction, he will have Barr Engineering review the <br />documaut submitted by Merila dfld Assou'Lates and <br />report back. <br />Attorney Meyers clarified a denial was made of the pra- <br />liminary plat as it stands today, and since thin <br />ordinance would significantly change the wetland boun- <br />daries, they should look at it very carefully. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley advised the Ervironmertal <br />Task Force will have their first meeting on August 9, <br />which will be an organizational meeting. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Hankner to direct Barr Engineering <br />to sttuCy the d. cumcnt submitted. i:y Y;erila and Assor-, ata-i <br />and report bank to the Council. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Paulay read proposed Resolution <br />No. 2362. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Motion Carried <br />17.
