MEMO 701 Clerk-
AdministITEM 2
( rator and City Council
FROM: City Planner Herman
DATE: September 1, 1988
SUBJECT: CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR RONALD HOLT TO LOCATE
A PE': STORE AT 2548 HIGHWAY 10, SILVER VIEW PLAZA
Mr. Ronald Holt has requested to locate a pet store at the Silver
View Plaza. This issue was briefly discussed by the Planning
Commission during their review of the veterinary clinic
proposal. You may recall that the staff report for the Planning
Commission regarding the Pet Store reflected the Zoning Code of 3
communities as it relates to pet store and veterinary clinics.
Interestingly, pet stores were allowed as permitted uses in less
intense zoning districts than the clinic which was a conditional
use in two of the communities.
The Planning Commission, after review of the proposal and
discussions with the applicant, felt a B-2 zone was the
appropriatconditionseplacec:iupon ct ott itart esimilatstore atoathe nclinirainuterms of
nuisance and ventilation. The resolution and proposed ordinance
is attached for your review.
V
RH/BAC
