MEMO TO: MAYOR AND COUNCILMEMBERS <br />FROM: MARY SAARION, DIRECTOR <br />PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br />DATE: OCTOBER 6, 1988 <br />SUBJECT: CITY NE!dSL-TTER BIDS <br />Four bids were received and opened on Thursday, October 6, 1988 for the <br />printing of six issues of the 1989 City Newsletter. The bids are tabulated on <br />the attached sheet. <br />Advanced Printing, Inc. is the low bid. The City has awarded past bids to <br />Advanced Printing for the printing of the City Newsletters. The City has been <br />satisfied with Advanced Printing's prcmptneas. The Newsletter is frequently <br />orov,:ded sooner than the two week cimeframe. Advanced Printing has al.Eo been <br />very cooperative in accepting last minute changes. <br />RECOINENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council consider awarding <br />Advanced Printing, Inc. ':he 1989 city newsletter printing contract, with the <br />low bid of $8,800 for 176 pages or 6 city newsletters, to be funded equally <br />from the recreation, budget 100-4350-343-000 and the administration budget 100- <br />4190-343-000. <br />MS/SL <br />Attachment <br />
