Consideration <br />Managers of Blaine and Spring Lake Park had been in of Przpcsed <br />negotiations with the Fire Chief for tSe past three 1989 Fire <br />months, and he feels the proposal before the Council Department <br />is acceptable. He explained Chief Fagerstrom had Budget <br />proposed an annuity program for new firefighters, due <br />to problems experienced in recruiting and retaining <br />them, but it was agreed the issue would be discussed <br />between now and the 1990 budget for possible imple- <br />m^.ntation later. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Quick to approve the 1989 <br />Fire Department Budget as submitted by Fire Chief <br />Fagerstrom in his memorandum dated September 16, <br />1988. <br />L1_5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley explained the public 14.
