Public Storage, Inc.
1 Appletree Square, Suite 1382 • Bloomington, Minnesota 53425
(612) 854.6519
October 31, 1988 kci"/cry S
Ms. Peg Mountin, Chairperson
Planning Commission
City of Mounds View
2401 Highway #10
Mounds View, MN 55112
Dear Ms. Mountin:
As applicant for the K. A. PUD, we have reviewed both our internal notes
and staff comments from our initial submittal presentation the night of
October 19th. We have reviewed Section 40.26 of the City Code,
Administration - Variances and Aupeals. We believe that we are in
compliance with the conditions stated -for approval. Regardless, as we
were directed to a -?ply using a PUD designation by the City, we ask that
the Planning Commission assist us in achieving an acceptable solution to
implement our proposal.
We will attend the meeting of hovember 2nd to be available to provide
additional data defending our choice of this locatiun. We du feel that
we have a legitimate place in your code. The operation of our business
meets the "intent" description of the 8.2 zone. This was discussed during
the October 19th meeting. We are certain that our contribution to the
businesses and homeowners at this commercial node is valuable and desirable.
We know that our impact to City services will be minimal. We are positive
that the building materials and curb appeal of this project will, in fact,
be a strong contribution to both the major exposure along County Road I and
the small window of visibility to Higf.way 1G.
We ask that you recommend approval of this proposal based upon reasonable
conditions subject to mutual approval.
Sincerely,
PUS4C STORAGE, INC.
k0a—QA*-
Donald Jensen
Development Coordinator
DJ:skh
W
