VI. WORKFORCE, AVAILABILITY AND UTILIZATION/UNDERUTILIZA- <br />TION ANALYSES <br />The City conducted separate in-depth analyses of each job <br />group for minorities and for women (protected groups). The <br />purpose of these analyses is to determine if minorities <br />and/or women are currently being underutilized in one or <br />more job groups. The results of these analyses then become <br />the uasis for establishing the objectives detailed in this <br />document. <br />I. Workforce Analysis <br />A workforce analysis is prepared annually if new _ <br />positions are added to the City's wo_kforce and/or \ <br />t'+rnuver has occurred within ttie City's workforce. <br />T:._s analysis contains job titles ranked from the \\� <br />lowest paid to the highest paid within each depart- <br />A. For each job title, the total incumbents by <br />race and sex, and total incumbents by the total <br />males, and females, are listed. This profile <br />includes the actual wage for all job titles. <br />Availability Analysis <br />An Availability Analysis has been performed to aid <br />the City in determining whether minorities and/or <br />women are being underutilized in the City's <br />operations. <br />The establishment of job groups is necepsary for the <br />performance of an Availability Analysis. The <br />following job groups and positions within the groups <br />are as follows, <br />Managers and Administrators: Clerk -Administra- <br />tor, Finance Director, Public Works Director/ <br />City Engineer and Parks, Recreation and <br />Forestry Director <br />Professionals and Technicians: Building <br />Official, City Planner, Accountant, Parks and <br />Recreation Administrative Assistant, and Public <br />Works Foreman <br />Protective Service: Police Chief, Lieutenant, <br />Sergeant, Investigator and Patrol Officer <br />c <br />ncf�-..
