-2-
• '11L
There was little or no real interest in establishing a fishery in
the pond. This would involve high cost dredging operations and
aeriation. For this reason, Environmental Specialists provided the
City with a contract to perform the tasks above omitting the tasks
which deal with fisheries. 04
Before Council approves this contract for a management plan, they
want to be sure that the consensus of the people is to omit the
fisheries and concentrate on wildlife habitat and pond aesthetics.
Contract approval will be on the agenda to the Council at the
Council meeting held Monday, November 14, 1988 at 7:00 p.m.
IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER INPUT ON THIS ISSUE PLEASE CALL .ME AT 7P4-
3055 SO THAT THE PLAN CAN BE A TRUE REFLECTION OF THE WANTS AND
NEEDS OF RESIDENTS. Your input must be communicated to me. by
Mo:,dav, November 7 for the agenda session. You are certainly
in to atten9 one or both meetings held at 7:00 p.m. in the
council chambers.
Sincerely,
Mary Saarion, Director
Parks, Recreation and Forestry
MS/SL
Enclosures
