The bids received were: MacQueen EouiPment, Inc- -I Howard Price Hydro 180 completed to $45,829.00 specifications Deduct $7,496 for J. Deere Trade $ 7,496.00 Net After Trade $38,333.00 OPTION: For demo unit (approximately 85 Hours) Deduct $1200.00 $ 1,200.00 Net After Trade $37,133.00 Long Lake Ford Tractor, Inc. No Bid This past summer we had the demonstration of a Howard Price 180 and a Toro 560. If you remember the comparison of these two machines and the reasons I stated at that time, for the obvious choice of the Howard Price, were that it will do our cutting of our parks throughout the summer and then has the capability of also being equipped with a 6'. blower to clear our sidewalks and hockey rinks. The Toro does not have ':he capability of being outfitted with a blower. Prior to this demonstration, we had the opportunity to use the Howard Price for three days in which we mowed the'cntire City in approximately 2 1/2 days. My employees ghat did operate the nachine recommend it very highly for reasona of manueverability, serviceability and excellent mowing capacity. This is the only machine that met specifications and can be equipped with a 6' blower to clean our sidewalks and rinks. No other manufacturer can supply this type of equipment. That basically, is the reason we received only one bid.
