Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />October 10, 1988 <br />Page Twelve <br />--------------------- <br />Finance Director Brager reviewed proposed Resolution <br />No. 2393. He explained the public hearing had been <br />held on September 12. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Hankner to approve Resolution <br />No. 2343, adopting the 1989 general city operating <br />budget, and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor Linke thanked Staff and the rest of the Council <br />for the work that was done on the budget. <br />Finance Lirector Brager reviewed proposed Resolu- <br />tions No. 2394,2395 and 2396. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Quick to approve Resolution <br />No. 2 tifying the' 1989 genacal fund and <br />forestry property tax l.:vies, and waive the read}ng. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion/Second: Wuori/Blanchard to approve Reso- <br />lutio 96, authorizing issuance of equipment <br />debt certificate, prescribing the form and details <br />thereof, levying taxes for the payment thereof, and <br />waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Wuori to approve Resolution <br />No. 23certifying the 1989 bonds and interest <br />tax levy, and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley explained Public Works <br />Director Minetor and Public Works Foreman Ulrich <br />were in Colorado at snow plowing school, so em- <br />ployees of the Public Works department were present <br />to report their findings and equipment recommenda- <br />tion. <br />Tim Pittman, Gary Kardel, Steve Dazenski and Larry <br />Deuchene each reported on their preference of the <br />Caterpillar equipment over the ocher brands and <br />the reasons why they preferred <br />Tom Gresher, a salesman with John Deere, stated that <br />when the specs were written he understood his machine <br />was acceptable and if his bid was low, it would be <br />accepted.
