RESOLUTION 10088 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVAL OF THE 2025 SANITARY SEWER LINE REHABILITATION - CIPP <br /> (CURED-IN-PLACE-PIPE) PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works has an inspection and maintenance program for the <br /> municipal sanitary sewer system, by televising and evaluating the condition of the pipes. <br /> Defects are logged while performing inspections, including cracks in the pipe and leaking <br /> joints; and <br /> WHEREAS, a priority list that ranks the segments of pipe requiring repair or <br /> remediation is maintained by Public Works and Staff determined which lines should be <br /> included in the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project; and <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works in conjunction with Stantec has prepared plans and <br /> specifications (bid documents) in house for use in obtaining public bids for the sanitary <br /> rehabilitation project; and <br /> WHEREAS, a virtual public bid opening was held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at <br /> 2:00 pm with Visu Sewer LLC, as the low bidder with a base bid of at $759,200.25; and <br /> WHEREAS, the funding for these repairs is budgeted in the Sanitary Sewer fund, <br /> 730-4823-7050, which includes $1,000,000.00 for sewer pipe relining program. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The City hereby approves the bid from Visu-Sewer LLC of Pewaukee, WI for <br /> $759,200.02 (base bid) for lining of the 2025 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation <br /> Project, City project 2024-007. <br /> 2. The City Council also approves Bid Alternates #1, and #4 for a total of <br /> $178,995.00. <br /> 3. The City Council approves a contingency of $61,804.75 for any unforeseen <br /> issues that may arise during this project. For a total project cost not to exceed <br /> $1,000,000.00. <br /> 4. Funding will be from the Sanitary Sewer Fund, 730-4823-7050. <br />
