WORK PLAN FOP. MOUNDS VIEW RECYCLING PROGRAM - 1989 <br />The City will be targeting the same number of households in <br />the 89 program as in 1988. This is estimated at 4446 <br />households. There will be once -a -month pick up in Sanuary, <br />February and March. Starting in April the City will be <br />going to twice a month pick up. We are also targeting April <br />to begin multi -unit (buildings over 17 dwelling units) <br />recycling in April. Items for pick up will be glass, <br />cardboard, paper and metal both aluminum and tin in <br />conformance with County requirements. Public education <br />costs will go toward developing a mailing which will <br />notify the City residents of the change to twice a month <br />pick up. Administrative costs will be reimbursed for the <br />City's recycling coordinators tine. <br />The City will continue its efforts to look into organized <br />collection, available finding sources for recycling, and the <br />expansion of its recycling program with the use of <br />containers. <br />
