U
MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCI
FROM: CLERK-ADMINISTRAT
tT,,'
DATE: JANUARY 6, 1989
SUBJECT: 1989 SPRING CLEAN-UP DAY
Although it might be hard to believe it, the spring of 1989
is quickly approaching and the time for the City to schedule
its spring clean-up day is upon us in order to be assured of
having a hauler who can provide the needed services to us on
that day.
In the recent past, and particularly during the 1989 Budget
development process, members of the City Council indicated
a desire that modifications be made to the spring clean-up
day program. Since no specific direction was given nor
agreed to at that time, staff is requesting that the Council
now provide us with that direction in order thai
arrangements be made and clean-up day scheduled such that it
can be publicized in the March -April City Newsletter which
goes to the printer on Thursday, February 9. Staff will be
present to discuss with you your thoughts and desires with
regard to the 1989 spring clean-up day. Should you require
any specific information regarding our past practices or
what might be available for us in 1989, please do not
hesitate to let me know.
DFP/MJS
