(BOARD.] "Board" means the board of ethics <br />4 <br />established by section 2. <br />5 <br />Subd. S. [COMPENSATION.] "Compensation" means the payment <br />6 <br />of anything of value to an individual in return for that <br />7 <br />individual's services of any kind. <br />P <br />Subd. 6. (EXTENDED FAMILY.] "Extended family" means a <br />9 <br />reporting individual's spouse and a child, stepchild, parent, <br />10 <br />steooarent, grandparent, brother, sister, half-brother, or <br />11 <br />half-sister of the individual or the individual's spouse. <br />12 <br />Subd. 7. [GIFT.] "Gift" means the payment or receipt of <br />' <br />13 <br />anythinn of value unless consideration of greater or equal value <br />14 <br />is provided in return, but does not mean a contribution defined <br />15 <br />in section 10A.01, subdivision 7. <br />16 <br />Subd. 8. [GOVERNMENTAL UNYT.] "Governmental unit" means <br />17 <br />the legislature, a state ronstitutionsl office, a state <br />18 <br />executive department or,agency of any kind except an advisory <br />19 <br />task fcrce the state univers°'^ system, the community college <br />20 <br />system, the metropolitan council, a metropolitan agency defined <br />21 <br />in section 473.121, subdivision 5a a municipality as defined in <br />22 <br />section 471.345, subdivision 1, and a public corporation <br />23 <br />established by law. <br />24 <br />Subd. 9. (IMMEDIATE FAMILY.) "Immediate family„ means a <br />25 <br />reporting,individual's spouse and a minor child or stepchild of <br />26 <br />the individual or the individual'n spouse. <br />27 Subd. 10.
