MEMORANDUM
OkINEfRl ARWITEM■PLANNERJ
222 EAST LIMECANADA ROAD, S7 PA" MINNE5D7A 55117 612 A64-0272
TO: CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW
ATTN: MARY SAARION
FROM: DAN BOXRUD
DATE: APRIL 28, 1988
SUBJ: SILVER VIEW PARK TRAIL CONNECTION
SEH FILE No: 87154
Enclosed is the drawing of the proposed completion of the wood
chip trail in Silver View Park. The approximate locations of the
existing trees were plotted and the proposed trail location
shown. The proposed trail location is marked in the field by 4
foot lath along the upper edge of the trail.
We field checked some of the rear yard drainage and found that
there are some flat back yards, but our surveyors did not pick up
any areas where water obvious.y pocketed. That doesn't mean
there are no areas which pocket water. observing the area during
a rainfall would be the best method of determining where any
minor ponding areas may occur.
We would reco:unand that the trail be notched into the ground with
any excess material generated disposed of on the downhill side of
the trail. By doing this, property owners would have the option
of improving drainage on their lot without encountering a wood
chip trail barrier. If water does pocket on the park property,
this should still be able to be remedied without disturbing the
trail if it is notched into the ground.
If you require any further information or would like any changes
to the drawing, please advise.
DRB/cih
SNCRT ELL107 Si F:.L ✓ SCGLc '.
IAW6Lc0iA
NEN0RIC40N INC ,
