Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Councilmember Quick asked the outcome of the goal <br />setting session the Council had held last Friday. <br />Mayor Hankner explained it had been held last <br />Friday due to the snow the previous Friday. About <br />25 people attended, which was a good response. <br />Clerk/Admiili5tratoC Pauley stated it would be dis— <br />cussed further at the next agenda session. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reminded everyone of the <br />City party on March 18. Reservations must be made <br />by March 15. <br />Mayor Hankner reported the ground breaking for <br />SYSCO would be March 17 at 3:30 PM. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley, reported many nice <br />prizes had been coming in for the City dinner. The <br />cr.;t of the dinner is $12.75. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported that one year ago <br />Ramsey County had installed a radio activation system <br />for the emergency broadcast system, but they have been <br />( experiencing a problem with the frequency that causes <br />l volunteer firemens beepers to go off during testing. <br />The system with have to be redone, with a new channel, <br />at a cost of $470 to Mounds View. This is not a <br />budgeted item, and should be charged to civil defense. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Blanchard to au horize the <br />expenexpenditure of $470 to Ramsey County, t redo the <br />radio activation system for the EBS, wish the funds <br />to come from the contingency fund. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley read parts of an article <br />published in the New Brighton Bulletin on March 8, <br />citing its inaccuracy, in giving incorrect informa— <br />tion, as well as misquoting. The article concerned <br />wetlands in the City and Clerk/Administrator Pauley <br />clarified that it is the Council, not Staff, who <br />makes the decision on what to do with them. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley asked Council approval <br />of Resolution NO. 2462, to approve the 1989 wages <br />and benefits for Teamsters i,ocal No. 320. <br />Motion/Second: quick/Wuori to <br />No7462, approving 1989 wages <br />addendum to the labor. agreement <br />Mounds View and Teamsters Local <br />reading. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />approve Resolution <br />and insurance benefits <br />between the City of <br />No. 320, and waive the <br />March 13, 1989 <br />Page Seven <br />Councilmember <br />Quick <br />Councilmember <br />Blanchard <br />Mayor Hankner <br />22.
