Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />4yor Hankner provided an update of the activities of <br />ne State Legislature and bills that were recently <br />passed. She expressed concern for the cost of this <br />legislation, and stated she appreciates City Staff <br />and what they do. <br />Mayor Hankner reported the management audit report <br />is expected soon. She also commented on a picture <br />published in the New Brighton Bulletin, concerning <br />the triangular piece of property and work done to it. <br />1 <br />Mayor Hankner also congratulated four local students, <br />who are residents of Mounds View, for being winners <br />in the state spelling bee, at various levels. She <br />also noted a teacher an9 two students from Irondale <br />High School that have recently won awards, and noted <br />the high quality of the residents of Mounds View. <br />May 22, 1989 <br />Page Seven <br />Mayor Hankner <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported Oneon Corporation 20. Report of <br />has requested a temporary occupancy certificate to Clerk/ <br />begin moving into the portion of the building they Administrator <br />are leasing at Mounds View Business Park. Remaining <br />work is promised to be completed on the building <br />prior to scheduled occupancy on June 1, and Building <br />�ficial Tobias has recommended the Council issue a <br />mporary certificate of occupancy, subject to <br />satisfactory completion of work. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to approve the <br />temporary occupancy permit fcL, Onan Corporation for <br />Mounds View Business Park. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed his memo of <br />May 19 concering City Hall roof repairs, and <br />recommended the Council accept the low bid of OMNI <br />Roofs. <br />Motion/Second: Blanchard/Paone to approve the 'low <br />E�idoFOMNI Roofs, in the amount of $17,806 plus an <br />additional $500 charge for the prevision of a per•- <br />formance bond, for a total contract of $18,306. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carrie6 <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported the Ramsey <br />County Library Board would be meeting at 7 PM <br />June 1, at the Mound3 View School District <br />Cfice, to discuss a futures study, and they would <br />ke a representative of the C.,uncil to attend. <br />
