RESOLUTION NO. 2494 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />R£SOSOTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AG&LEMENT WITH TEXGAS FOR A PROPANE FUELING EQUIPMENT UPGRADE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has demonstrated the <br />success of the use of propane as an alternate fuel for uce in the <br />City fleet; and <br />WHEREAS, propane is considered to be an integral strategy <br />in reducing air pollution; and <br />WHEREAS, propane has been shown to be cost efficient in the <br />City fleet; and <br />WHEREAS, the current propane fueling station does not <br />provide the most cost efficient storage volume for the City; and <br />n <br />WHEREAS, Texgas, the current propane supplier, has <br />proposed to provide a 12,000 gallon storage tank and updated 4a� <br />fueling equipment to be financed by a per gallon charge of 4" <br />$0.3028 over the next five years; and <br />WHEREAS, our cost for propane will be reduced by $0.2578 <br />per gallon. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of <br />the City of Mounds View authorizes City Staff to enter into an <br />agreement with Texgas, in accordance with Texgas' proposal, to <br />replace the current propane fueling station and equipment with a <br />12,000 gallon storage tank and updated fueling equipment to be <br />financed by a per gallon surcharge based on 30,000 gallons per <br />year usage. <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) <br />Adopted this 12th day of June, 1989. <br />Mayor <br />Clerk -Administrator <br />
