Mounds View City Council t ; <br />�� P Regular MeetinFebruary 13, 2989 <br />g-------------------------UPage Seven <br />------------------------------- <br />City Attorney Karney advised the decision should be <br />based on who has submitted applications, and not take <br />any new ones. <br />Jerry Linke questioned whether the Judge had sent <br />the applications or cover letters along. <br />Maycr Hankner replied he had not, just the name: and <br />addresses. <br />Councilmember Quick stated the three members of the <br />Charter Commission who are eligible for reelection <br />had ample time to submit their names. <br />Motion: Quick to appoint the eight members presented <br />in the letters from Judge Plunkett. <br />The motion died for lack of a second. Motion Failed <br />Mayor Hankner stated she did not want to be too <br />hasty, as it is impertant to consider everyone who <br />might be interested. It was agreed to discuss further <br />at the February..21 agenda session. <br />Councilmember Wuori asked City Attorney Kerney to get <br />copies of the letters submitted to Judge Plunkett, for <br />the Council to review. <br />Rocky Kahn, of Short Elliott Hendrickson, presented 15. Informational <br />an overhead map of the City and reviewed the alter— Meeting — <br />natives studied, and the findings, of various drainage Edgewood <br />plans for the City, and what they have ultimately Drainage <br />determined would be the best plan. He identified District <br />where the wetlands are located within the City, as Feasibility <br />well as the drainage areas, an:; defined what a'drainage Study <br />area is. <br />Mr. Kahn reviewed what e. natural treatment process is, <br />as well as the proposed recreational layout for those <br />areas involved. He also reviewed the siggested con— <br />structior. phases, as well as a rough estimate of the <br />construction costs. <br />Glenda Meitzel, 2458 County Road I, questioned whether <br />the vegetation area would have standing water. <br />Mr. Kehn explained certain ones would, whereas others <br />would vary dependent upon the specific vegetation <br />involved. <br />Mayor Hankner explained the Council will have ample <br />time to review this before any action is required, <br />! and it will be discussed further at the February 27 <br />Council meeting. <br />
