MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCILL
FROM: CLE,2K-ADMINISTRATOJ
DATE: APRIL 11, 1989
SUBJECT: PETITION FOR CHILDREN PLAYING SIGNS
Attached please find a petition from residents on St.
Stephens Street between County Road I and Oakwood requesting
the placement of Children Playing signs. This petition was
received by Staff on April 3rd and, since it could not be
placed on an agenda for your consideration until the
April 17 agenda session, I forwarded a copy to City Engineer
Minetor for '-.is review and comment. Attached please find
Engineer Minetor's comments and recommendations regarding
this petition. I also advised the originator of this
petition, Cheryl Baumhoefner, 5532 St. Stephens Street of
the fact that the item will be on your April 17th agenda
session agenda.
Finally, Ms. Baumhoefner indicates in her letter Chief
Ramacher has given his total support for this project. In
reviewing the petition with Chief Ramacher he advised me
that 1:e did indeed speak with Ms. Baumhoefner and advised
her of the petitioning process requesting such signs but did
not offer, nor has he since given his support, for these
,. signs. Chief Ramacher has further advised me that he
endorses the City Engineer's recommendations on this matter.
DFP/MJS
Attachment:
