Fire Department Activity Report <br />June 1-30, lggg <br />PERSONNEL <br />Page 2 r <br />One of our former probationary day firefighters at Station l has returned to <br />the fold. <br />We have received a few inquiries about becoming a volunteer firefighter `;om <br />our announcement i <br />favorable n the `founds View City Newsletter. If we receive enough <br />responses, we f.ntend CO start a second beginner firefighter <br />training class for those who pass our agility test. At the earliest, this <br />class would start sometime in September with the new recruits this <br />on board <br />by the middle of October at the latest. <br />ADIIINl� SON <br />We have been working on both our Capital and Operating Budgets with the <br />AdmiCapital Budget being our <br />at a joint meeting Inclnistrators and the Fire Department. This entails a <br />great deal of rewriting. One of the bulletins Is now in Its fifth draft. I <br />have established a goal of having all bu11et1ns old and new, completed by <br />years end. I feel confident we will <br />each bulletin will be subjected to. make it inspire of the number of reviews <br />The Investcasc law suit continues on. For some of You who may <br />or not been privy to the Information, the Citv of Blaine have forgotten <br />Department were sued (subrogated) by the insurance companyand a result of a fire that occurred during Nay 1985. The main allegations being <br />P y for Investcast as <br />that the city was negligent in not providing city water mains and the fire <br />department negligent in our fire ground tactics.
