Staff anticipates <br />submitting the City's financial statements to the <br />GFOA for consideration of a Certificate in 1989. <br />Installation of a new computer system in [larch of <br />1989 is expected to improve efficiency in the <br />production of payrolls, accounts payable, financial <br />statements and utility billing. The former computer <br />system was relocated in the Police Department where <br />it will be used exclusively for police records <br />managcriert. This arrangement should prove <br />satisfactory as the former system was overloaded with <br />both police records management and financial applica- <br />tions being run simultaneously. <br />
