There were no questions or comments from <br />the floor, so Mayor Hankner closedth'16ublic hearing <br />and reopened the regular meeting at <br />Mayor Hankner explained the Council has been given <br />the opportunity to receive $75,000 from the Mounds <br />View Lions Club for a picnic shelter at silver View <br />Park, and she called on Lion Jerry Linke to review <br />the proposed plans. <br />Mr. Linke explained he was representing the planning <br />committee of the Mounds View Lions, and he reviewed <br />the steps the committee has taken so far. costs on <br />:he proposed shelter came in higher than anticipated <br />so they sat down and made cuts to reduce the cost. <br />He added they have had discussions with the Council <br />and Park and Rec C'" ission concerning providing <br />utilities and the cost of them. He stated that he <br />will be going back to the full Lions Club later this <br />week with input from the Council. <br />Mr. Linke reviewed the proposed construction <br />of the <br />building, which will be 34' x 69 <br />that <br />the plans, as revised, should come in at the $75,000 <br />bid price, and if the bids come in over that, they'll <br />have to sit down again and do more cutting.
