Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />Mr. McCarty requested a listing of the people who <br />spoke during the informational meeting. Mayor Hankner <br />noted they would be listed in the minutes. <br />The Council recessed at 9:15 and called back to order <br />at 9:2: PM. <br />Ms. Hren advised the cities of Mounds View, Arden <br />Hills and New Brighton had agreed to a joint powers <br />agreement for a hazardous waste collection day, which <br />has been set for September 23 at the New Brighton <br />City Hall. She requested the Council approve the <br />City's share of the cost which is not covered by the <br />grant from Ramsey County. She explained residents <br />will be charged approximately $3 per tire, or the <br />actual disposal cost. This expense has not been <br />budgeted and will have to come from the contingency <br />fund. <br />Mayor Hankner volunteed to be one of the volunteers <br />from the City of Mounds View. 20 volunteers are <br />needed from each city. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to approve the $500 <br />payment out of the contingency fund for clean-up <br />day for hazardous waste material. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />July 10, 1989 <br />Page Six <br />11.
