Mounds view City Council July 10, 1989 <br />Regular Meeting Page Twelve <br />Attorney Karney had no report. 29. Report of <br />Attorney <br />Mr. Minetor advised that the engineering firm for 30. Report of <br />the Mounds view Business Park South is getting ready Staff <br />to advertise for bids on the project and due to time Members <br />constraints, they will be advertising for the wetlands <br />alteration improvements and Woodale extension. However, <br />it will be clearly stated that those two items may be <br />deleted. <br />Mr. Minetor advised there have been some major pro- <br />blems with the water system. Water demand has been <br />very high, and over 6.5 million gallons were pumped <br />over the weekend. Problems have been experienced with <br />discoloration of the water and they are doing what they <br />can but cannot solve it completely. <br />Mr. Minetor advised street patching will begin this <br />week. <br />Councilmember Paone advised the Council mot at 6:30 <br />this evening with the Lions Club concerning their <br />donation for a shelter building. They need Council <br />approval in order to get going on it. <br />Mayor Hankner reminded the Council a commitment was <br />made at the last Council meeting to set a time and <br />coordinate schedules between the residents, Council <br />and Lions Club. It was agreed to send notices to <br />the residents and discuss further at the July 17 <br />agenda session. <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Motion/Second: Blanchard/Paone to approve the first <br />read nag of Ordinance No. 470,adopting the 1989 long <br />term financial plan, and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. <br />Councilmember Wuor: reported the Mounds View Community <br />Theatre would be holding a garage sale this weekendr <br />at Mounds View Square. The production "Sound of Music" <br />will be held the last weekend in July and the first <br />weekend in August. <br />31.
