MEMO TO: MAYOR AND COUNCIL <br />FROM: MARY SAARION, DIRECTOR <br />PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br />DATE: AUGUST 23, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF LOW BID FOR <br />OAKWOOD PARK GRP.DING PROJECT <br />Two .mitten bids were received for the grading work to be done at <br />Oakwood Park according to SEII Dan Boxrud's specifications for relocating <br />the ballfield and leveling the parkland including a drainage pattern. <br />Copies of the two bids are attached. <br />Becklin Bros ................... $6,150.00 <br />Stanway Excavating, Inc ....... ,850.00 <br />Stanway Excavating, Inc. is a company referred to us by Dan Boxrud of <br />SEH. Mr. Jourstowski, of Stanway Excavating, informed me that if his bid <br />was awarded, he could begin work in about two weeks after notification. <br />RECOMMENDATION: To consider awarding the grading project at <br />Oakwood Park to Stanway Excavating, Inc. with a bid of $3,850.00, to be <br />funded from the Park Improvement Fund. <br />MS/SL <br />Attachments (2) <br />61 <br />
