Mounds View City Council APPROVED August 28, 1989 <br />Regular Meeting Page Seven <br />------------------ <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Hankner to make the appoint- <br />ments to t e Silver View Park Picnic Shelter Planning <br />Committee as proposed in the August 25, 1989 memo <br />from Park and Rec Director Saarion. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor Hankner asked that the Council be kept informed <br />of all meetings of this group. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Wuori to set the first meeting <br />For August 30, at 7 PM at City Hall, contingent upon <br />a cancellation if there cannot be a quorum. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Hankner noted the City had received a letter <br />from the New Brighton Eagles, committing $16,000 to <br />the park building when it is approved and bids have <br />been let. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Hankner that Staff be directed <br />to prepare a resolution accepting the $16,000 to be <br />used toward the park building and a communication <br />to the New Brighton Eagles to that affect. <br />l <br />` 4 ayes 0 nays 1 abstention Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Paone abstained from the vote. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Quick that Staff be directed <br />to prepare a similar resolution of thanks to the <br />Mounds View Lions Club. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mr. Minetor reported an additional right of way is 22. Report of <br />required from two property owners for the Woodale Staff <br />Avenue extension, and negotiations have been under- Members <br />taken. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Paone to authorize Staff to <br />o taro t e necessary right of way and easements at <br />a cost of $1.32 per square foot for the permanent <br />right of way and $0.132 per square foot for the tem- <br />porary easements, and to include a value of $2,000 <br />to the Kroonblawd's for damages to trees in the <br />temporary easement, and that all costs be charged <br />to the tax increment financing of Mounds View <br />Business Park South. <br />5 ayes 0 nays :lotion Carried <br />
