Mounds View City Council October 9, 1489 <br />Regular Meeting Page Ten <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. <br />24. Reports of /� <br />Councilmembt J: <br />Councilmember <br />Blanchard <br />Councilmember Peons reported he had received a letter <br />Councilmember <br />concerning a proposed change to the date of the <br />Paone <br />Festival in the Park, in moving it back to July, due <br />to attendance problems. <br />Mayor Hankner stated all Council asembers had <br />received the same letter, and it is a valid concern. <br />She added a lot is based on when they can get the <br />Portable stage from Ramsey County. <br />Mr. Pauley stated he would be bringing something to <br />the Council at their next agenda session regarding <br />concerns by the fireworks company about safety. <br />Councilmember Wuori had no report. <br />Councilmember <br />Wuori <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Councilmember <br />Quick <br />Mayor Hankner reported she had attended the Fire <br />Mayor Hankner <br />Department open house on Sunday, and the Council <br />needs to keep in mind their capital needs as they <br />budget next year. <br />Mayor He 'cner stated with the school district <br />closing _ne community centers, they need to look <br />at other possibilities. <br />Motion Second: Hankner/Paone to direct staff to gather information <br />aTouf-possi5le ideas of locating a location for the community center <br />in Mounds View and report back to the Council. <br />Motion Carried <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported the three City <br />Administrators have been meeting with the Fire Chief <br />concerning the capital improvement program and plan. <br />A substantial increase is planned for the 1990 budget <br />in all three cities. The Fire Department would like <br />to conduct another tour of the stations and the site <br />of a new station, on Saturday, October 28 at 9 AM. <br />Mr. Pauley reported Attorney Meyers has requested a <br />special meetng with the Council to review the proposed <br />revisions to the wetland ordinance. <br />25.
