Mounds View City Council November 27, 1989 <br />Regular Meeting Page Three <br />Harriet Nelson, 8310 Long Lake Road, stated she had <br />originally owned the property and when she sold it to <br />someone other than Mr. Anderson, she did not believe <br />it would be for a duplex. <br />Charles Nelson, 8300 Long Lake Road, stated he is <br />against rezoning the property. <br />Don Anderson, 1021 44th Avenue NE, Columbia deights, <br />owner of the property, explained he travels during the <br />winter and is concerned with security. He plans to <br />build. the unit and have family live in the other <br />section. <br />Mayor Hankner closed the public hearing at 7:55 and <br />reopened the regular meeting. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Wuori to deny ordinance No. <br />483 for the rezoning of the property at 8280 Long <br />Lake Road. <br />4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Wuori pointed out the property is in the <br />middle of a single family residential neighborhood and <br />it should be left as it is. <br />Councilmembers Paone and Quick stated they agreed with <br />Councilmember Wuori's comments. <br />Mayor Hankner added she also agreed with the comments <br />of the Councilmembers, and she pointed out there are <br />areas in the city which are zoned for R-2. <br />Mayor Hankner closed the regular meeting and opened <br />8. Public Hearing: <br />the next public hearing at 7:57 PM. <br />Consideration <br />of Request <br />Ms. Hren reviewed the request of the applicant for a <br />for Wetland <br />wetlands alteration permit. The property in question <br />Alteration <br />is located within the wetland buffer area and a <br />Permit for <br />public hearing is required by ordinance. She added <br />Jerry Hauck, <br />there are no other issues to be addressed with this <br />2332 Sherwood <br />proposal, and she does not feel there would be any <br />Road <br />impact on the wetland with this construction. <br />Bill Doty, 3049 Bronson Drive, questioned whether <br />a three season porch addition should be allowed in a <br />wetland buffer area. <br />Mayor Hankner pointed out the house was built before <br />�I.' the mapping was done. <br />
