MEMORANDUM <br />Memo To: Mayor and Council Members <br />From Ric Minetor, City Engineer/Director of Public Works <br />j/l <br />/1�r r •• <br />Date October 12, 1990 r <br />Subject: Traffic volumes and origins on Red Oak Drive <br />Council member Quick requested clarification on the origin of <br />traffic on Red Oak Drive under the different scenarios and the <br />contribution of traffic to the airport. The future volumes <br />presented in the traffic study are based on a 20 year projection. <br />This includes full development of the Blaine Industrial Park, <br />Full development of the Airport according to the Airport Master <br />Plan, full development in Mounds View according to our <br />Comprehensive plan, and development of the commercial areas in <br />Circle Pines. <br />The study information was not detailed enough to present the <br />level of airport traffic generated by the neighborhood versus the <br />airport traffic from outside the area. However, estimates of Lhe <br />total airport traffic were available. Below are the estimates of <br />the 20 year projected traffic on Red Oak Drive. The "transient" <br />traffic is the difference between the total traffic and the local <br />traffic.
