Report of Publi Works/Community Development Dir Attorney Meyers asked the Council to reconsider the 16 action they had taken earlier on the Red Oak Park development, since it is their intent to have Staff talk further with the developer. He asked that they make a motion to have the matter referred back to Staff for further negotiations with the developer. Motion/Second: Quick/Wuori to reconsider the motion on Resolution No. 2153. 4 ayes 0 nays Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to table this item and send back to Staff for reconsideration. 4 ayes 0 nays Attorney Meyers updated the Council on actions taken recently regarding the Williams Pipeline case. He reported the court is allowing them to reopen and operate, not exceeding 900 lbs. pressure in the line. He pointed out, however, that these are preliminary findings and there will be a trial in the future regarding a permanent injunction. Attorney Meyers reported the NTSB has not completed their investigation of the accident yet, and he is not certain what their timeline is. He added the Office of Pipeline Safety is also conducting an investigation, and he feels their findings will be valuable to the City. Attorney Meyers reaffirmed that the Council wants to diligently pursue the removal or replacement of the pipeline, and will continue to work for that.
