Public Works Staff Report <br />Silver View Park <br />Controlled wood pile burn <br />• Trash and litter pickup <br />• (Alderlink Construction Masters) starting invasive removals, stump treatments around Silverview <br />pond. They started in the wetland area nearest H2 flats apartments and are working their way West <br />around the pond. <br />• (Aderlink Construction) 75% of invasives have been removed from all around the pond, 50% of <br />invasives have been stump treated. Starting on constructing two rain gardens on the south side of <br />the pond, large tree removals occurring on the west side of the pond. <br />What to look for in the next month: <br />-Stump trimming <br />-Additional stump spraying <br />- Woodchip spreading <br />- Reconstruction of two raingardens near H2 <br />- Pile disposals <br />-Seeding site preparations <br />-Seeding all sites with variations of native flowering prairie and upper woodland seed mixes <br />What will remain around the pond: <br />-Some downed trees in the water <br />-Some dead trees around the pond and in wooded areas <br />-Woodchips no thicker than 3" deep <br />-Stumps <br />Larger trees and diseased oak trees will remain up until freeze up in December of 2025, after adequate <br />frost has been established the larger trees will be scheduled for removal. <br />Woodcrest Park <br />■ Trash and litter checks <br />• Playground removal 3-24-2025 <br />Community Center, Public Works Shop and City Hall Greenspaces <br />■ Trash and litter pickup <br />Below Tree Sale Trees Below Ardan Park <br />Tin <br />3 1 P a g e <br />
