r <br />Investigates citizen complaints related to zoning activity <br />of the City with the goal of resolving issues in the best <br />interest of all concerned. <br />Drafts resolutions, ordinances and ordinance revisions for <br />the consideration and action of the City Council and <br />provides specific documentation and justification for <br />the proposed action. <br />Responsible for coordinating and communicating broad <br />aspects of community planning to the public to ensure <br />a thorough understanding of the impact of present and <br />proposed programs. <br />7 <br />Works with other City departments and staff including <br />9 <br />coordination and direction of Development Review meetings <br />to ensure proper coordination of land development and to <br />ensure that City policies, codes and ordinances are <br />properly adhered to. <br />Conducts research and prepares reports on zoning amendments, <br />10 <br />land use controls, transportation needs, population <br />trends, etc. <br />Assists in the preparation and administration of annual <br />11 <br />operating budget for planing activities. <br />Represents the City at meetings of state, county and metro <br />12 <br />area organizations which are concerned with matters <br />relating to City planning and development. <br />Consults with the City Attorney as requ±.red to review and <br />13 <br />assure proper legal requirements are being met in all <br />zoning activities, or to initiate legal action to ensure <br />code conformance an-' pro -ides expert testimony on behalf of <br />the City as required. <br />Keeps the Clerk-Administrato.- informed of all matters which <br />14 <br />need immediate attention or are required to effectively <br />manage overall City operations. <br />Assumes other duties as apparent or assigned by the Clerk- <br />15 <br />Administrator. <br />other Performance Measurements: <br />--- Citizen complaints and inquiries are dealt with in a fair and <br />equitable manner, and resolution is based, whenever possible, <br />on the interests of all concerned. <br />--- Demonstrates effectiveness in communicating ideas, programs <br />and plans to the Planning Commission and City Council. <br />--- Authorized programs are being completed according to plan, <br />schedule and budget. <br />A <br />M <br />
